Daniel Kangogo has joined the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) as a gender research associate in the Livelihoods, gender and impact (LGI) program.

He previously worked in an agriculture and food security program at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and is an award recipient for his work on household dynamics, food security and resilience in semi-arid areas of Kenya.

Kangogo holds a master of science degree in agricultural and applied economics from Egerton University. His research interests include gender integration and analysis, food security, climate-smart agriculture and agricultural technology adoption.

He is keen on the use of mixed methodologies to bring out the silent gender issues across disciplines in agriculture and development.
